Nordic Group Ski & Wax Clinics 2026

PVSC Group Ski & Wax Clinics

The Penobscot Valley Ski Club (PVSC) will be leading a group ski and ski wax clinics on several days through the 2026 skiing season. These events will take place at the Caribou Bog Outdoor Center. 

The group ski will take place before it gets dark starting at 3:30 prior to the wax clinic if the trails are skiable. The wax clinic will take place from approximately 4:30 to 6:30 at the Caribou Bog Outdoor Center wax room.

Some snacks and drinks will be available and feel free to bring your own. Cost will be a free will donation to go towards providing waxing materials provided by PVSC at the wax clinics. Participants will have to bring their own skis and poles. All equipment and supplies needed for the wax clinic will be provided, however, you are welcome to bring your own waxes and equipment. Both classic and freestyle (skate) skiing can be done for the group ski.  Alpine skiers are also welcome to bring their alpine skis to any of the wax clinics.

If conditions do not allow for a group ski, the wax clinic will still take place from 4:30 to 6:30. If conditions allow for ice skating on any of the local ponds that may be an option instead of the group ski.

December 18th (Thursday)

January 6th (Tuesday)  

January 14th (Wednesday) Classic technique instruction

January 28th (Wednesday) Freestyle technique instruction

February 3rd (Tuesday) 

February 18th (Wednesday) 

March 3rd (Tuesday)

March 25th (Wednesday) Will Focus on waxing for off-season storage.
