PVSC is always ready for winter fun!

The Penobscot Valley Ski Club, incorporated in 1941, is one of Maine’s oldest ski organizations. Since its inception, the club has offered cross-country and downhill ski trips, competitions and instruction. PVSC currently has nearly 500 members, many of whom volunteer time and energy to support the club’s efforts.

The club has introductory programs for young skiers as well as offerings for adults of all abilities. The PVSC junior racing teams offer coaching, equipment and race support for young athletes. Each winter, the club also hosts several races for skiers of all ages.

Club membership is open to all, and annual dues are kept quite low ($28/individual and $40/family). Some PVSC events and activities are for members only, though many are open to the general public. Regardless of membership status, local citizens enjoy the club’s efforts. Cross-country ski trails that are built, maintained, and groomed by the club are open to all at no cost. The club has also contributed to other non-profit organizations in the area that support Maine’s ski community, such as groups that document ski history and assist disabled skiers.

Over the past 80 years, the Penobscot Valley Ski Club has built and sustained a ski culture in the region that offers a great sense of camaraderie, in addition to providing tangible benefits to members and the public alike.  We invite you to join us today!
