Thanks to our many volunteers, vendors and customers, another successful Penobscot Valley Ski Club Ski Sale was held on October 17, 2015. With snow in the forecast and plenty of new & used equipment to choose from it looks like our sales were up about 20% over last year. This increase, combined with reduced advertising costs, should provide a significant improvement to our net proceeds.
Thank you to all of the members that volunteered and made this possible.
Our advisors and vendor coordinators, Doug Bears and Dan Gagnon kept us on track for both planning and during the sale.
Our Treasurer, Cynthia Buzzini has the money in hand and the records well managed.
The skimeisters on the cash registers, Tom, Barbara, Cindy, Karen & Robin. Thanks also to Susan Lancaster and the crew helping out with consignment.
Our membership committee led by Sally Burke made us look good with new sale signs and information on membership and programs.
Fundraising chair Chris Pepin was this year’s TV star and kept us fed with donations from area businesses including Moe’s, Starbucks & Pizza Hut. He also helped us explore other fundraising options at the sale with a raffle.
Board member Deanna Prince, Alpine committee leaders Gina Schuck & Barbe Miller joined with our core member volunteers to keep everything going.
The PVSC team makes Doug Bears’ comment that the “ski sale runs itself” come true.
Special thanks to Hermon Mountain for providing ski adjustments and raffle tickets including a junior season pass and
NEOC at Millinocket Lake for providing lodging for a weekend for our raffle.
Thanks to everyone for a successful 2015 sale!
