Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding
: PVSC and New Hermon Mountain are pleased to offer ski and snowboard lessons for adults and children of all abilities. The programs consist of four lessons/lift tickets. The prices listed below are for PVSC members only, as the club subsidizes the costs of the program. Lessons are offered for:¨
Adults and teen lessons on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for all ability levels from beginners to advanced skiers interested in improving technique. Cost of $70 includes rental equipment and evening lift tickets.¨
Snowboarding for teens and adults on Friday, cost $70 for teens and adults for the four lessons. Rentals are not included in snowboarding.¨
Children ages 2-4 on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The children ski free and the adult who accompanies the child receives a half-day lift ticket. Cost of $40 for all four lessons includes the lift tickets.¨
Children ages 5-12 on Saturday or Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Lessons are offered for all ability levels and include a half-day lift ticket. Cost is $40 for all four lessons. Please specify which day (Saturday or Sunday) that you will attend for the entire session.¨
Snowboarding for children on Saturday or Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Please specify which day you will attend. The cost is $40 for children 12 and under.Rental equipment is available at Hermon Mountain (Price of rental equipment is not included in children's programs or snowboarding). If you are renting equipment, you must go to the mountain a few days in advance to be fitted so that equipment will be adjusted and ready for you on the first day of lessons. Also remember to allow time to pick up equipment, sign in for lessons, and get lift tickets before the lessons. Please arrive at the mountain at least a half-hour before the lesson, and be outside ready to ski on time. The first day is very hectic so you may want to arrive even earlier. Your patience is appreciated on that day while groups are organized and instructors locate their students. Lessons last for 1 to 1 ˝ hours, then skiers are free to use their lift tickets for the remainder of the half-day.
Lesson Cancellations – If the weather is questionable and you are not sure whether lessons will be held, please call Hermon Mountain directly, at 848-5192.
Second Session Start Dates – Second session start dates may be delayed due to weather conditions during the first session lessons. Please contact Hermon Mountain to confirm start date.
